Tadao Ando has completed the design of ‘152 elizabeth’, a luxury residential building located in New York’s Nolita neighborhood. The project, which was fully unveiled in 2015, is the Japanese architect’s first residential development in the city and contains a total of seven homes. Conceived as a ‘sanctuary’, the development’s acoustically enhanced façade system has been designed to ensure that inhabitants have tranquil home environments despite the busy downtown location.
